As a result of our extensive experience and qualifications, we are able to judge if the requirements and standards are met. Magnetic Particle (MT Testing) and Dye Penetrant (PT Testing)

Magnetic Particle (MT Testing) is a method used by our NDT team in Flagstaff, Arizona. This is best for detecting fine cracks and surface irregularities. The other kind of surface testing is called liquid penetrant testing. This is typically used as part of structural steel, maintenance on tanks, and pipeline modification work.  Penetrant Testing (PT) is suitable for stainless piping and material preparation work during the repair process.

Visual Testing (VT Testing)

Visual inspection (VT Testing) is one of the most common types of welding inspection we provide, and it is one of the most required forms of code compliant testing. Using our various abilities, we can evaluate the quality of the welds. We will check the general quality of the welds to see if they meet minimum code requirements. However, you may need to be aware that VT inspection is not be the only form of inspection you will likely need. We have other NDE procedures in place and conform to the design guidelines.

Ultrasonic Testing (UT Testing) and Radiographic Testing (RT Testing)

If the non-destructive testing technician is looking for volumetric discontinuities, they must use x-ray (RT Testing – Radiographic Examination) or Ultrasonic testing (UT Testing – Shearwave Testing – Phase Array). Our ultrasonic and radiographic tests will be used to examine the internal weld integrity while remaining non-destructive to the part being examined. The inspectors will apply these methods, and will give you a thorough report of all quality exams.

Destructive Weld Testing, Welding Procedure Qualification, and Welder Qualification testing.

With regard to weld specifications, it is essential to conduct destructive testing to certify welders to a procedure (WPS). This serves to demonstrate that the material base metal can be combined with a particular filler metal. Welding a coupon and bending it, is a prerequisite for testing welders and a requirement for qualifying a PQR.
